it's been a while since i've appeared in blogosphere. so here i am, still pretty much breathing and living in the month of June. Half year through 2008. not a very good 1/2 year i must say.. a few ups.. and plenty of downs and setbacks.
just a little update on myself.
i'm already in the Navy for 1/2 a year. My next course is starting in August. so from now until then, i living on regular pay as an office clerk.
NO NEED TO ENVY. It's a bad idea actually.. while my current batch bois(and girls) get their 3SG rank(pay riseeee!!!) soon. i'm probably still a CPL. =(
oh and yeah. i volunteered for submariner course some time back. It'll be cool to work in a sub i thought. Becoming the 'Invincible Invisible'. i mean how often do u get to work onboard a warship,let alone a submarine?? never mind about it being a diesel sub, never mind if it was older than me..
it's a submarine!!! yes!! the boat that goes underwater and do all the secret misson stuff.
the boat cannot be sank!!(theoretically) becoz it is very much in the water already. how nice it wld be to actually get on a sub....
and so off i went for the numerous tests...
blood test..ECG test..eye test...
and then finally the pressure chamber test.
the 18m bounce dive.
and then i failed. 3m into the test i fell out. my left ear was bleeding.
am i going deaf? nah.. doc said my ear will be fine.
but no more dives for me.......that would probably mean no more Submariner..
and so my journey unto becoming a submariner ended.
that's life isn't it..you don't always get what u want.. especially things that u want so badly..
